The Canadian Cover Awards/Grands prix canadiens - Meilleures couvertures recognize and celebrate the success of our industry’s top selling magazine covers. Honours go to titles with sizzling sell lines, compelling photography, clever illustrations—whatever made the consumer pick up and purchase that magazine. In a retail environment where Canadian magazines have to fight for every inch of shelf space they can get, these awards recognize that it’s not size that matters—it’s covers!
The 2014 Cover Awards producers, CMC and Magazines Canada, are building on the successful awards first launched in 2002 by Masthead, now the generous media sponsor.
Check your eligibility for the exciting new Canadian Cover Awards. There are different award categories that your cover can be entered into to win! Newsstand sales are worth 50 percent of the final score; the remaining 50 percent of the score will be determined by five judges representing our industry: a retailer, a wholesaler, a national distributor, a circulation director and an art director.
And don't forget the Newsstand Marketer of the Year award. This prestigious prize goes to an individual who showed true innovation and passion through a successful newsstand marketing project.
